Designer Son Jung Wan successfully unveiled her new collection, “BLAZING OPULENCE,” at New York Fashion Week for the 2026 F/W season, drawing the global fashion world’s attention.

Marking her 28th appearance on the New York stage as a Korean designer and continuing her singular trajectory, Son Jung Wan used her 2026 F/W collection to pose a conversation about “true abundance” that goes beyond mere outward glamour.

This season’s theme, “BLAZING OPULENCE,” brought to the runway the power born of inner resilience, sustainable values, and the explosive energy that radiates from within.

Grounded in a bold yet restrained aesthetic, the collection focused on reinterpreting the brand’s heritage through a contemporary lens. In particular, it elevated the confidence of embracing one’s authentic self into an elegant presence, realizing Son Jung Wan’s take on “modern opulence” through a richly composed lineup.

The color palette served as a bridge between nature’s energy and inner strength. Anchored by classic “Russet,” which conveys deep stability and trust, the luminous yellow-toned “Maize” added an optimistic vitality. A dramatic accent came through “Rio Red,” symbolizing bold confidence, while nature-inspired “Green Glow” brought overall balance, completing a vibrant collection.

Variations in materials also stood out. Voluminous wool, felt, and padded fabrics were used to emphasize structured, oversized silhouettes, while fluffy textures such as cashmere, alpaca, and mohair maximized the value of premium luxury. Subtle satin-silk sheen was harmoniously paired with eco-conscious vegan leather, showcasing both sustainability and forward-looking sophistication through layered contrasts in texture.

The show, held in New York, earned praise for setting a new benchmark for luxury by bringing together the Son Jung Wan brand’s signature vibrant colors and meticulous detailing with modern silhouettes.
